Welcome to the Davis Training Institute! We are honored to partner with you on your journey toward becoming a skilled, ethical, and compassionate healthcare professional. Whether you’re training as a Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy Technician, Patient Care Technician, or Administrative Assistant, you are now part of a community that values learning, leadership, and lifelong service.

📚 Required Materials

For your success, you are expected to have access to the following:

✅ Required Textbooks & Study Materials:

• Program-specific manuals (provided digitally or during orientation)

• OpenStax: Anatomy & Physiology (free digital resource)

• HIPAA Training from HHS.gov (for all administrative and clinical programs)

• NHA Practice Exams (CPT, CCMA, CMAA, PCT as applicable)

📄 LMS & Software:

• MasterStudy LMS Access (Login provided after enrollment)

• Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Drive)

• Grammarly (Free or Premium)

• Optional: Zoom or Google Meet (for live online sessions)

⚖️ Lab Materials (if applicable):

• Clinical tools provided on campus for in-person lab sessions

• Online simulations where in-person access is unavailable

🌐 Campus & Online Learning Setup

🏢 On-Campus Learning:

• Location: 360 MLK Jr. Parkway, Suite B, Beaumont, TX 77701

• Days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday

• Times: Day Classes: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM | Evening Classes: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM

• Masking and safety protocols must be followed where posted.

🚀 Online/Hybrid Learning:

• Log into MasterStudy LMS via the student portal

• Each course module is released weekly with due dates

• Attendance tracked by login, participation, and assignment submission

• Online students are expected to communicate regularly and attend scheduled Zoom sessions if applicable

📖 Student Policies

❌ Cancellation & Refunds:

• Cancellations must be submitted in writing to the Director.

• Full refund within 72 hours of enrollment (excluding non-refundable fees)

• Refunds after class start are based on pro-rated attendance per the Student Catalog.

✍️ Conduct Expectations:

• Maintain professionalism, honesty, and respect in all settings

• No disruptive behavior, harassment, or plagiarism will be tolerated

• Students must follow lab safety and dress codes

• Use appropriate language and confidentiality when discussing patients or simulations

🚪 Attendance Policy:

• More than 2 unexcused absences per course may result in probation or removal

• Students must communicate with faculty when emergencies arise

⛑️ Certification and Clinical Policies:

• Students must pass all didactic and lab competencies before externship

• Clinical placements require up-to-date immunizations and clearance

• Professional behavior at externship sites is mandatory for certification eligibility
